I think I am getting mine a Shuffle. I saw a cute post on here awhile ago about renting your BF's favorite car for a day.. like a Jag or something he'll never actually be able to buy. I thought that was cute. However, it doesn't sound like your boy is into popular stuff.

What about a magazine subscription for something interesting?

Ooorr, my old standby, lingerie! Haha. Love

Mon, 02/05/2007 - 2:55pm

13

Mon, 02/05/2007 - 2:57pm

14

Liza, that sounds like a really good idea! He'll love it. Smiling

Mon, 02/05/2007 - 2:57pm

15

BB- oh wow! none of the websites that sell montblancs have the price! you have to call/e-mail to get a 'quote' like it's a car or something!

Liza, I just checked out the Waterman site..I didn't see any prices for those either. I used to sell both, back in the day..when, I sold men's furnishings. I'm trying to think of a store that would sell them, now. Puzzled They were around $120.00 and up back in the late 80's (I think it's been awhile). lol

BB- i just got a quote from one site... it was around $250! but i think it's worth it.... it really is a status symbol!

Mon, 02/05/2007 - 3:15pm

19

Liza, it is..think about a Waterman though. Also, if you ever want to sell it the go up in value. Smiling

Mon, 02/05/2007 - 3:18pm

20

really? what's the diff between a montblanc and a waterman?

Mon, 02/05/2007 - 3:19pm

21

The Waterman Co. has been around longer..also, it's more of a status symbol. Another thing, Waterman was the first pen company. I know he wouldn't want to sell it because, it's a gift. But, over many, many years the can sell for A LOT of money. Remember though, if you get a fountain pen..their harder to write with..just something to consider. They have regular pens too..which is probably what I would go with..in your situation. My hubby likes the fountain pens..I think it's whatever some one prefers.

22

The reason I thought of this..is because, of the business card case you picked out from Tiffany's. Smiling

Hahahaha to the bad driver!! I won't tell him you said that!! They may have insurance, so you don't have to pay if he wrecks it!!?
